Just two weeks before the launching of his successful book, he got mugged of his laptop that entailed a copy of his book which meant he had to start afresh. Thirty one (31) year old Tumi Bulunga had always been goal driven from a tender age.
Born and bred in Soshanguve Pretoria, he was born to academics, his mother being a teacher and the father a school principal. Tumi then had to excel academically. He became like any other pupil at Tshwane Christian School which created the fear he now has for God. He describes the school as being ideal on its teachings.

He furthered his higher education in Hillview High School where he says he was mocked for his stuttering which created a low self-esteem. He did not stop there; he did his diploma in Journalism at Varsity College. Bulunga describes the two years at the institution as [the best]. He commends the institution as it took out the best in him, taught him [fluent English] and his utterances.
The God fearing man who has everything planned out enjoyed his early young adult years, because he later worked for Daily Sun immediately after completing his studies at Varsity College. Working for the publication as an entertainment reporter, for duration of two years he was exposed to various popular artists.  At only 21 years of age despite travelling the country and covering gigs he met people like the late Mandoza, Zonke, Dj Cleo, L’Vovo and the endless list goes on.
After working at Daily Sun with ambition, he went to study a National Diploma in Marketing Management at the Tshwane University of Technology. With the hope to secure employment afterwards with two diplomas, things didn’t turn out so great. Having to be a graduate with his qualification he was unfortunate in getting a job. After being unemployed for a year he then decided to go back to journalism.
The words ‘‘God did not create a school, a school is man-made’’ have always kept Tumi Bulunga going. Thus he has been an entrepreneur at heart involved in a number of businesses which some of them failed along the way one being a modelling agency.
Either than Daily Sun, the 31-year-old has worked at Sosh Times and Gospel News. He is currently a motivational preacher, columnist, owns Bulunga Consulting (motivation projects & aspiring authors), life coach and a newly published author of the book called Dreams Don’t Stutter. His new book has sold over 600 copies and still counting. The book aims to inspire people who’re not chasing after their dreams because they feel like they are not enough, hence the ‘stutter’- referring to doubts and failures.
‘’In the near future I intend to inspire, influence and help people. Be what I am just in a different platform’’, he said
