Root of hatred  - SIMPHIWE MANDLA MALUNGA

The bond between siblings, friends and colleagues has broken. Children have become orphans because of you; as long as you’re adored we will not have peaceful lives.

Your presence makes the world go round as you take one’s breath with your gleaming beauty. You are accompanied with laughter, sorrow and at times hatred. Few men can testify that indeed you are deceitful as you will be with them today the next day you are nowhere to be found and some will blame it on witchcraft whilst others will blame it on carelessness. Either than that we need you, despite the fact that you continue to come in the way of neighbours doing what you know best which is causing conflict and ending all unity instead bringing up gossip between them.

Saddening as it may sound a certain individual is having sleepless nights because of you; you have conquered all their thoughts because all they think about is you. On the other hand another individual is foreign to peace as they constantly fear for their lives because of you. You have taken away all their beauty sleep since well it’s you they worry about. Society’s freedom of movement is compromised because of you; we ought to believe that if we travel in certain places during certain times hooligans will be there just in time to take you from us. Evident to the fact that you are nothing but a root to all evil: precious women have gone astray giving their bodies away in exchange for you in order to survive, our brothers have chosen to pursue evil deeds just to have you by taking people’s hardships and corruption has become the norm all because of you.

Money is the root of all evil; I wish we can go back to trade and bartering. As the good book puts it let not men have the love for money. Let us love and cherish one another, be proud to spend money which we have worked for.
